That was absolutely the intent when the RICs were established.Official Report, 18 Mat 2022, col 30 The Audit Scotland report found that whilst schools and councils are getting better at identifying needs, reviewing what works, and determining the impact on closing the poverty-related attainment gap, there is scope to achieve greater consistency and impact across the system through evaluation and transfer of learning. Audit Scotland said that schools are being supported in this by RICs and Education Scotland; however, the Committee is not clear on who assesses the performance of RICs.
