Provision
Section 25(2) provides that the Scottish Ministers may by regulations appoint days on which provisions of the Bill will come into force other than sections 22, 23, 25 and 26 which come into force on the day after Royal Assent.
The review will "look at the current inspection framework and approaches with the aim to develop a new quality framework, and adapt and enhance approaches to school inspections.”3Education Scotland. (2024, April 26).
As the amendment has yet to be lodged, the Committee did not want to delay the publication of this report given the Stage 3 debate is scheduled for Thursday 26 April. It will therefore consider the delegated powers provision in the proposed amendment at its next meeting where it will decide whether it requires to publish a supplementary report.
