The Committee held a roundtable evidence session on inshore fisheries on 26 October 2022. The session included stakeholders from the both the fishing and environmental sectors and was designed to support the Committee’s understanding of key issues affecting Scotland’s inshore fisheries.
While 51% of respondents did not answer a question on whether there should be “some measure of payment for panel members, over and above the current system of expenses, in return for the introduction of new and updated expectations”, of the 49% that did answer, 26% said no and 74% said yes.
