Report on Homelessness - Temporary accommodation

At 30 September 2017— There were 10,899 households in temporary accommodation, an increase of 139 households (+1%) since the previous year; Of these households in temporary accommodation, 3,426 had children - an increase of 87 households (+3%) compared with one year earlier; There were 6,581 children in temporary accommodation, an increase of 594 (+10%), compared with the same date the previous year; and The majority were housed in local authority or housing association accommodation (61%), with a further 16% in hostels and 10% in B&B accommodation.
