The Bill consists of 42 clauses: Clause 1 of the Bill bans dealing in ivory (the ivory ban). This is defined as: buying, selling or hiring ivory; offering or arranging to buy, sell or hire ivory; keeping ivory for sale or hire; exporting ivory from the United Kingdom for sale or hire.
