To ask the Scottish Executive what strategy it has to encourage visits by cruise liners to Scotland and whether any funding is available for this purpose.
We had set a target for 2006, but it has been superseded, as I announced last week, by a new target for 2008. Of course, we shall still expect local authorities to meet their 2006 targets on the way to meeting the new target for 2008.
I think that John Lincoln said that that might be related to new towns, for example. However, only one of those five local authorities has a new town in its area and a number of local authorities that are not in that category do cover new towns.
