New GP contract (known as General Medical Services (GMS) contract): The total expenditure on the GMS contract increased from £503.9 million in 2003-04 to £696 million in 2005-06 which was the first year in which the new contract was fully in place.
That should mean being fully consulted and being involved in the outcomes arising from any discussions that take place.I respectfully request that the committee put the petition into the legacy paper, which would allow the new committee to pursue some of the issues that the petitioner identifies.
Before we come to the next item of business, I think that members will wish to know that I have written to the speaker of the New Zealand Parliament on behalf of the Scottish Parliament to offer our sincere condolences to the people of New Zealand following the horrific earthquake in Christchurch.
