This report details the Education, Lifelong Learning and Culture Committee’s consideration of the Scottish Government’s revised code of practice, supporting children’s learning. During evidence, the Committee raised issues in relation to the Scottish Government’s consultation on the revised code, in particular the importance of consulting with parents of children with additional support needs. Members also raised the need for consistency in approach to co-ordinated support plans (CSPs), the process by which CSPs are revised and local authorities’ involvement in the co-ordination of CSPs that include a role for health boards and agencies.
