The Dormant Bank and Building Society Accounts Bill, introduced to the House of Lords on 7 November 2007, is currently under consideration in the UK Parliament. As the Bill makes provisions applying to Scotland for purposes that lie within the competence of the Scottish Parliament, or that will alter the legislative competence or the Scottish Government competence of the Scottish Ministers, a legislative consent memorandum LCM(S3) 3.1)2 has been lodged by the Scottish Government.
