Remit
The Scottish Government published its Draft Budget 2016-17 on 16 December 2015.
The Rural Affairs, Climate Change and Environment Committee's role is to scrutinise the budget documents and report its findings to the Finance Committee.
The Committee agreed on 16 December 2015 that SPICe and Committee clerks should prepare an analysis of major themes and trends emerging from the Committee's budget scrutiny over the last four years, and key budgetary issues arising from the Committee's work programme in 2015, to identify progress in these areas with a views to informing both the Finance Committee and any successor committees in Session 5.
