Remit:
The remit of the Committee is to consider and report on the Scottish economy, enterprise, energy, tourism, renewables and other matters falling within the responsibility of the Cabinet Secretary for Finance, Constitution and Economy (apart from those covered by the remit of the Infrastructure and Capital Investment Committee), and matters relating to cities.

Introduction
1. At its meeting on 3 June 2015, the Economy, Energy and Tourism Committee considered the following affirmative instrument The Registers of Scotland (Voluntary Registration, Amendment Fees, etc.) Order 2015 [Draft] (‘the Order’). The Committee took evidence from the Minister for Business, Energy and Tourism and officials. The official report of the meeting will be available on Monday 8 June 2015.

2. The Order was laid on 14 May 2015. The main purpose of this Order is to make provision related to voluntary registration under section 27 of the 2012 Act, including changing the fees charged for such registration. The Order also amends two other fees in relation to the Land Register and introduces a small number of fees for copy documents from other registers maintained by the Keeper of the Registers of Scotland ("the Keeper").

3. The Delegated Powers and Law Reform Committee considered the Order on 26 May 2015 and published its report the following day. In its report, the DPLR Committee stated that it did not need to draw the attention of the Parliament to the instrument on any grounds within its remit.
Economy, Energy and Tourism Committee consideration
4. In considering the Order, the Committee explored a number of issues with the Minister for Parliamentary Business.
5. The Minister for Parliamentary Business moved motion S4M-13318—
That the Economy, Energy and Tourism Committee recommends that the Registers of Scotland (Voluntary Registration, Amendment Fees, etc.) Order 2015 [Draft] be approved.
The motion was agreed to.
