Scottish Law Commission Bills
At its business planning meeting at the start of this session The Committee agreed to include in its work programme consideration of possible procedural changes to improve the implementation rate of Scottish Law Commission reports.
A Scottish Parliament/Scottish Government working group considering this issue has now reported on this issue. The report was referred to the Committee for consideration by the Parliamentary Bureau on 27 November 2012.

The Committee invited all Committees of the Scottish Parliament to provide any evidence on this report. The closing date for the call for evidence is 31 January 2013.

Report
A report on Implementing Scottish Law Commission reports was published by the Committee on 18 April 2013. This was approved by Parliament on 28 May 2013 and the Standing Order rule changes came into effect on 5 June 2013.
Review
In 2015 the Committee conducted a review of the new rules on how the Parliament considers Scottish Law Commission bills. A note of the outcome of the review can be found here (277KB pdf).
Timetable
The Committee published its report on 18 April 2013. This was approved by Parliament on 28 May 2013 and the Standing Order rule changes came into effect on 5 June 2013.
