Counter Corruption Unit review


About the Inquiry


The Sub-Committee had scheduled an evidence session on Durham Constabulary’s report on its review of Police Scotland’s Counter Corruption Unit for Thursday 1 June 2017. The Sub-Committee received a letter from Police Scotland indicating that due to its statutory obligations the report was not to be published at that time. The Sub-Committee wrote to Police Scotland to request further information, which was provided.

Durham Constabulary's reports to Police Scotland and to the Scottish Police Authority were received by the Committee on 21 December 2017.

The Sub-Committee held an evidence session on the independent investigations into Police Scotland's Counter Corruption Unit on 23 November 2017. Written submissions were received in advance of the evidence ssession.
