Scotland's college sector is financially stable and achieving learning targets, whilst still adjusting to major changes to the way it operates. However, several issues remain outstanding if the full effects of government reforms are to be understood and addressed by the sector.

The Committee took evidence from the Auditor General for Scotland and Audit Scotland. The Committee agreed to take further oral evidence from the Scottish Government and the Scottish Funding Council. The Committee agreed to write to the Education and Skills Committee to highlight issues arising from the report, and to close its consideration of the report.
