On 4 July, the Convener wrote to the Cabinet Secretary for Finance, Economy and Fair Work regarding draft bills within the Committee's remit, the Minister for Parliamentary Business and Veterans responded on 26 July.

On 29 May the Keeper of the Registers of Scotland, Jennifer Henderson, wrote to the Committee to inform it of the launch of a refreshed offering of ScotLIS for members of the public.

On 17 May the Minister for Local Government, Housing and Planning wrote to the Committee to inform it of the publication of the report - New Housing and Future Construction Skills – Adapting and Modernising for Growth.

On 1 May the Minister for Trade, Investment and Innovation wrote to the Committee to announce that “A Trading Nation – a plan for growing Scotland’s exports” would be announced at the National Economic Forum by the First Minister.

On 17 April the Cabinet Secretary for Finance, Economy and Fair Work wrote to the Committee with an update on the progress of discussions on those common frameworks that fall within his portfolio. 

On 26 March 2019 the Committee received a joint letter from Minister for Energy, Connectivity and the Islands and the Minister for Local Government, Housing and Planning regarding Energy Efficient Scotland Consultation: accelerating the target and The Future of Low Carbon Heat in Off Gas Buildings.

On 25 March 2019, the Convener of the Finance and Constitution Committee wrote to the Committee regarding the Scottish Parliament’s scrutiny role in relation to the new powers arising from the UK’s withdrawal from the EU.

On 19 March 2019, the Minister for Trade, Investment and Innovation wrote to the Committee to inform it of the Conformity Assessment (Mutual Recognition Agreements) Regulations 2019.

On 19 March 2019, the Cabinet Secretary for Transport, Infrastructure and Connectivity wrote to the Local Government and Communities Committee (cc the Committee in) regarding the Ayrshire Growth Deal.

On 12 March 2019, the Committee received from the First Minister correspondence between GMB Scotland and the First Minister.

On 11 March 2019, the Committee received a letter from Jamie Hepburn MSP, Minister for Business, Fair Work and Skills regarding Fair Start Scotland Service Providers.

On 8 March 2019, the Committee received a letter from Jamie Hepburn MSP, Minister for Business, Fair Work and Skills regarding the launch of A Fairer Scotland for Women: Gender Pay Gap Action Plan. 

On 7 March 2019, the Committee received a joint letter from GMB Scotland and Unite the Union regarding the future of BiFab. 

On 1 March 2019, Cabinet Secretary for Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform and the Minister for Energy, Connectivity and the Islands wrote to the Committee regarding the UK Government and Devolved Administrations Ministerial Forum on EU Exit: Energy & Climate Change.

On 20 February 2019, the Director and Chief Economist, Office of the Chief Economic Adviser (OCEA) wrote to the Committee announcing the publication of their report No Deal Brexit - Economic Implications for Scotland.

On 14 February 2019, the Minister for Business, Fair Work and Skills wrote to the Committee regarding Fair Start Scotland.

On 31 January 2019, the Minister for Energy, Connectivity and the Islands wrote to the Committee regarding onshore oil and gas licensing.
