Newton Dee Residents Donate Traybakes to Help Aberdonians in Need

  • Submitted by: Liam Kerr, North East Scotland, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 01 December 2020
  • Motion reference: S5M-23542

That the Parliament commends the residents of Newton Dee Camphill Community for people with additional support needs in Bieldside for their work in donating around 150 traybakes every week to The Care Hub Aberdeen, which provides support to vulnerable and homeless people in the city; understands that this is the result of a successful fundraiser started by the co-worker, Ulrike Mall, which raised £2,000 for ingredients; recognises the importance of providing meaningful work to residents and reaching out to the wider community who have been unable to visit the village’s shop and café since the start of the pandemic, and wishes everyone involved in the project well.
