That the Parliament congratulates Dark Matter Distilleries in Deeside for featuring in Aldi’s Spirits of Scotland Festival; understands that it is the first and only rum distillery in Scotland; acknowledges that its spiced rum will feature in the festival; believes that rum is part of a growing trend of innovative flavoured liquors currently gaining traction in the spirits industry and that competition is getting increasingly tough; considers that the high quality of Scottish produce makes this level of recognition exceptional; and wishes Dark Matter's managing director, Jim Ewen, and all of its staff continued success across the UK market.
