Kintore Pipe Band to Play at Summit of Bennachie

  • Submitted by: Alexander Burnett, Aberdeenshire West, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Wednesday, 15 May 2019
  • Motion reference: S5M-17312

That the Parliament commends the efforts of the Kintore Pipe Band as it prepares to venture to the summit of Mither Tap to take part in the Bennachie Bosie, a charity walk organised by the conservation society, the Bailies of Bennachie; recognises that the band will join other walkers to hold hands around the unique peak on reaching the rocky granite summit, notes that, in an effort to provide motivation and atmosphere for the walkers at the summit, they will need to carry their equipment to the top; acknowledges that the walk will seek to raise funds for Breast Cancer Care, the University of Aberdeen Development Trust and Aberdeen Mountain Rescue Team, and wishes the band the best of luck on the challenging climb.
