Trek in Aid of Alzheimer's

  • Submitted by: Alexander Burnett, Aberdeenshire West, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Monday, 08 April 2019
  • Motion reference: S5M-16846

That the Parliament commends the efforts of 11 men who will embark on a 48-hour gruelling physical challenge to raise money for Alzheimer charities; acknowledges that the challenge will consist of kayaking 66 miles from Fort William to Inverness along the Caledonian canal, then cycling the return 72.2-mile journey by road and finally climbing up Britain’s highest peak, Ben Nevis; recognises that the team has come together from across Scotland and England, from Aboyne to Carlisle, with the aim to raise thousands of pounds for Alzheimer Scotland and the Alzheimer’s Society, and wishes them the best of luck on their venture and a safe return.
