The Public Services Reform (Scotland) Bill was introduced in the Parliament on the 28 May 2009. This briefing has been prepared for Members of the Rural Affairs and Environment Committee. It describes two measures in the Bill which would reform public bodies working in rural affairs and the environment, the transfer of functions of the Deer Commission for Scotland (DCS) to Scottish Natural Heritage, and the dissolution of the Advisory Committee on Sites of Special Scientific Interest (ACSSSI).
