Annie Lennox OBE, Special Envoy to CPA Scotland Branch will today visit the Scottish Parliament as part of the recent David Livingstone bicentenary events within Scotland and the Scottish Parliament.
Following a courtesy call with the Presiding Officer she will attend a Members Business debate on the David Livingstone bicentenary events. She will then speak at a reception hosted by the CPA Scotland Branch for individuals and organisations which have been involved in the David Livingstone bicentenary events.
Presiding Officer the Rt Hon Tricia Marwick MSP said: “I am delighted to welcome Annie Lennox to the Scottish Parliament today as we continue work together to develop the relationship between Scotland and Malawi”.
It has also been announced today that Patricia Ferguson MSP will represent all 13 Branches of the British Islands and Mediterranean Region of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association on the International Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians Steering Group. She will have this position for 3 years standing down in September 2016.
