Until 5 May 2022, I was a Councillor for South Lanarkshire Council (of Headquarters, Almada Street, Hamilton, ML3 0AA). I spent around 10-20 hours per week on this role. The remuneration I received was between £15,001 and £20,000 per annum [Amended interest 10 June 2022].

On 23 September 2023, I attended the Ayr Gold Cup at Ayr Racecourse as a guest of Scottish Racing (an organisation promoting and supporting the sport of horseracing throughout Scotland, delivering sustainability for the sport across its five Scottish Racecourses; c/o Hamilton Park Racecourse, Bothwell Road, Hamilton, ML3 0DW). I am appointed to this role as one of two council representatives on the board of Hamilton BID.
