Question

To ask the Scottish Government whether it will provide an update on its consideration of the potential use of private sector COVID-19 testing kits for people travelling from Scotland.

Answer

Following further engagement with the UK Government, we are now confident in the required standards of private testing providers and the flow of data to Public Health Scotland. The relevant regulations have been amended and from Monday, 6 September, travellers from amber and green list countries coming to Scotland will be able to use private sector providers.
