Elections for membership to the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body will take place following the appointment of Scottish Ministers and Scottish Junior Ministers on Thursday 21 May. The nomination period will open at 9.30am and close at 1.30pm on Thursday.

Nominations must be submitted on official nomination forms. These will be available to collect from the Parliamentary Business Team in T1.03, from 9.30am on Thursday. Completed forms must be returned there by 1.30pm.

Members may wish to note that the Chamber Desk will be closed on Friday 22 May and Monday 25 May 2026. Arrangements for submitting motions and amendments for debate are set out below.

Motions for debate on Tuesday 26 May should be lodged with the Chamber Desk by no later than 4.00 pm on Wednesday 20 May; amendments to these motions should be lodged by 4.00 pm on Thursday 21 May.

Motions for debate on Wednesday 27 May should be lodged with the Chamber Desk by no later than 4.00 pm on Thursday 21 May; amendments to these motions should be lodged by 4.00 pm on Tuesday 26 May.
