That the Parliament congratulates Gourock Bowling Club, which was established in 1866, on being awarded £26,250 from the SUEZ Communities Trust through the Scottish Landfill Communities Fund; understands that the funding will contribute towards the cost of repairing and replacing the clubhouse roof, as significant deterioration to the fabric of the roof has prevented the club from accommodating community events in recent years; considers that bowling clubs provide sports facilities for the local community, in addition to activities and facilities to promote wellbeing, and ensure that bowls are accessible for all, and wishes Gourock Bowling Club all the best with this project, which, it believes, will ensure that more people can benefit from the facility.
