That the Parliament congratulates Ellie Willcocks and Annabelle Rand from Woodmill High School in Dunfermline, Fife, on winning first place in the secondary school category of the respectme Young Film-maker Competition; understands that Ellie and Annabelle wrote and directed the film, Monster (LIKE ME), for the recent Scotland-wide anti-bullying film competition; notes that the contest was run as a partnership between respectme, Scotland’s national anti-bullying service, and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Junior Conservatoire of Film; believes that the competition provided a national platform for young people to share their voices and experiences on film, encouraging creative thinking to help and improve the lives of those experiencing bullying; commends respectme and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Junior Conservatoire of Film for providing this opportunity for young people across Scotland; applauds the hard work of all the young people who submitted film entries, and appreciates their efforts to confront bullying head-on with kindness and honesty; recognises what it sees as the hard work, determination and creative ability of Ellie and Annabelle, which helped them win the prize of a film-maker masterclass experience, delivered by Scotland’s Junior Conservatoire of Film, and extends its very best wishes to all the pupils involved in the competition.
