Former Ayr MSP, John Scott, Appointed an OBE

That the Parliament congratulates the former Member of the Scottish Parliament, John Scott, on being appointed an OBE in The Queen’s New Year Honours 2022; notes that John is a former Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party MSP, who was appointed an OBE for political and public service; understands that John represented the Ayr constituency for 21 years; acknowledges that the former MSP worked hard to represent his constituents across Ayrshire, and that this award recognises John’s talent and professionalism; notes that John had some 30 previous roles as an MSP, including membership of various committees and cross-party groups, and wishes him well in his future endeavours as he begins spending more time with his loved ones.
