Congratulations to Newly Elected Members of Scottish Youth Parliament for Stirling

  • Submitted by: Evelyn Tweed, Stirling, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Thursday, 13 January 2022
  • Motion reference: S6M-02772

That the Parliament congratulates Fraser Cronin and Matthew Crosan on being elected to the Scottish Youth Parliament as members for Stirling, where they will represent the views of young people; recognises what it sees as the influential campaigning coordinated by the Scottish Youth Parliament since its opening in 1999, including advocating for marriage equality, the Scottish Living Wage and lowering the voting age to 16; wishes all the new members of the Scottish Youth Parliament well in their roles, and encourages Scottish Youth Parliament members to continue to advocate strongly on behalf of young people in Scotland, including those whose voices are seldom heard in the democratic process.
