That the Parliament congratulates the achievement of John Tullie who has been chosen as the 2021 Tweed Forum River Champion; notes that he has been recognised for his work after implementing a whole-farm conservation plan in order to preserve the landscape and environment; understands that the plan includes a large area of grazing management for wildflower grasslands; further understands that he has created a Natural Flood Management system where part of the River Teviot floodplain has been restored by planting native trees, creating a wetland and re-meandering a section of watercourse, and recognises John's efforts in what it considers as successfully enhancing local biodiversity and reducing flooding in Hawick.
