Alzheimer’s Scotland Initiative Dementia Friends Special Thanks

That the Parliament acknowledges Alzheimer Scotland’s initiative, Dementia Friends; thanks it for holding training sessions, which have been specifically designed to educate parliamentary staff members on how to be mindful and aware around people with dementia; encourages all MSP staff to undertake this important training; notes that an app has been created called Purple Alert Scotland, which alerts those who have downloaded it if a person with dementia has gone missing within their area; acknowledges that the app also alerts the person's carer and Police Scotland; congratulates Alzheimer Scotland on reaching over 10,000 successful downloads, and encourages all MSPs and their staff to download this important app.
