Forth Valley College Achieves National Award for Innovative Mentoring Programme

That the Parliament congratulates Forth Valley College on achieving the Project Quality Award from the Scottish Mentoring Network for the high standards and innovative approach of its Time4Me programme, which supports students aged between 15 and 26 who may be care experienced, young carers or reside in regeneration areas; welcomes the use of highly-skilled mentors to assist with setting goals, problem solving and communication skills; recognises that young people participating will gain confidence and develop skills, which will help them with their studies, career and life achievements; congratulates all those involved in the Time4Me programme over the past four years, and recognises the work of the Scottish Mentoring Network for its support and guidance to develop a well-established programme.
