That the Parliament congratulates East Ayrshire Junior Sports Council for winning the Young Person of the Year Award at the 2021 Scottish Clubsport Awards; understands that East Ayrshire Junior Sports Council promotes participation in sport by assisting organisations and individuals to arrange personal performance improvement courses and training for coaches; welcomes its commitment to promoting opportunities for all through its efforts to encourage individuals with additional support needs to participate in sport; recognises the benefits of participation in sport for young people through improving personal development and confidence building; notes the particular importance of these kinds of skills for young people, following the prolonged period of isolation during the pandemic; commends East Ayrshire Junior Sports Council for its efforts, and wishes it continued success in the future.
