That the Parliament welcomes the news that Alloa’s Rotary Club has presented the Ochil Mountain Rescue Team with a cheque after participating in the Breaking the Law event in June 2021; acknowledges that a group of men climbed the steep and rocky hill rising at the head of Tillicoultry Glen to its 638-metre summit, in the Ochils, in less than 10 hours; believes that not only did the men conquer the summit once, they climbed it five times in succession, the total climb being that of 3,485 metres, which is the equivalent height of the trek from the Everest Base Camp to the summit of the world’s highest peak; understands that Alloa Rotary Club’s Scott Doyle, who completed the feat with five other men, said that they wanted to raise funds for two charities that the club supports, namely, Ochils Mountain Rescue Team and Global Sight Solutions, and commends everyone involved in their fantastic achievement.
