That the Parliament recognises that 22 September 2021 marks World Car Free Day; commends the many people who will be leaving their car at home and travelling by train, bike and foot in order to address air pollution and the climate emergency; understands that Scotland’s rail unions, ASLEF, RMT, TSSA, and Unite, fully support this action and are calling for immediate investment in the country's rail system, so that it is affordable, clean, fully-staffed, reliable and accessible to everyone; believes that these actions will help to meet climate targets, and encourages everyone to take part in climate action on the day to support a "People’s ScotRail" that is run for people instead of profit.
