West Dunbartonshire Citizens Advice Bureau Assisting Members of the Local Community

  • Submitted by: Marie McNair, Clydebank and Milngavie, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Friday, 10 September 2021
  • Motion reference: S6M-01149

That the Parliament commends the work of West Dunbartonshire Citizens Advice Bureau, which offers general advice and assistance to members of the community across a wide range of subjects; understands that the organisation aims to ensure that individuals do not suffer through a lack of knowledge of their rights and responsibilities, the services available to them, or through an inability to express their needs; notes that its skilled and trained advisors will never tell individuals what to do, but will assist people in taking control of their situation and to get the best outcome; acknowledges that it is a lifeline for many people across the community, often during the most difficult times, and thanks the staff and volunteers for their continuous hard work.
