  • Motion reference: S6M-01049

That the Parliament welcomes the first Emergency Services Day at Kirkcudbright Harbour, which was held on 4 September 2021; recognises the efforts of on-shore Lifeboat Crew members, Mike Merry and Keith Armstrong-Clarke who organised the event; supports the attendance of representatives of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, HM Coastguard, Blood Bikes, Galloway Mountain Rescue Team, Scottish Ambulance Service, St John’s Ambulance Service and the vintage Green Goddess Fire Engine, and endorses their hope that this becomes an annual event as part of the Kirkcudbright summer festivities, and recognises the invaluable role of all emergency service personnel across Scotland for the invaluable job they do all year round, often in challenging circumstances.
