  • Submitted by: Natalie Don, Renfrewshire North and West, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Wednesday, 18 August 2021
  • Motion reference: S6M-00870

That the Parliament congratulates Kevin Milliken, who is from Renfrew, on raising £1,202.50 for Renfrewshire Foodbank in just one month through donations made to his Food Bank Food Rush project from his colleagues at Renfrewshire Council and staff working for Scotland Excel and the Care Inspectorate; understands that Kevin has been organising annual collections of food and essential items for the foodbank since launching the initiative as a pupil at Trinity High School in 2014; appreciates that he adapted the project to collect online monetary donations during the COVID-19 pandemic, and wishes him well in his continuing drive to help many of the local families and individuals who are living in poverty and reliant on the foodbank to obtain items that they need.
