Abigail Jackson Walks 100 Miles in July for St Vincent's Hospice

  • Submitted by: Neil Bibby, West Scotland, Scottish Labour.
  • Date lodged: Monday, 09 August 2021
  • Motion reference: S6M-00824

That the Parliament congratulates eight-year-old Abigail Jackson of Renfrewshire on completing her challenge to walk 100 miles over the course of July 2021 to fundraise for St Vincent’s Hospice in Howwood; understands that this follows a successful fundraising effort last year, when she cycled 100 laps of her school cycling track to fundraise for the hospice; further understands that Abigail was inspired to complete these challenges after seeing Captain Tom Moore complete 100 laps of his garden in support of the NHS; welcomes the fact that Abigail has fundraised over £2,600 over the last year in support of St Vincent’s Hospice, and wishes her all the best as she enters P4 in August.
