That the Parliament notes the appeal made by former Mayor of Hiroshima, Tadatoshi Akiba, to the International Olympic Committee, to hold a moment of silence at the Olympic Games on 6 August 2021 in memory of the 146,000 lives lost in the nuclear bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and in support of world peace, and understands that more than 120 organisations globally supported the appeal.
