  • Motion reference: S6M-00745

That the Parliament praises staff and volunteers of Scotland’s largest birds of prey centre, World of Wings, in Cumbernauld, for their dedication and important work in protecting vulnerable and endangered bird species through breeding and conservation programmes; notes that the centre educates visitors and schools on bird welfare and provides opportunities for falconry training, and to learn more about the bird species that are native to the UK, as well as bird species all over the world; welcomes one of the centre's newest arrivals, Ana, a four-year-old Andean condor, who will play an important role in the work undertaken by the centre, alongside the International Centre for Birds of Prey and Andean condor and Eurasian griffon vulture breeding projects, to help conserve her species, and wishes the centre well as it continues to raise awareness of bird species.
