  • Date lodged: Wednesday, 14 July 2021
  • Motion reference: S6M-00663

That the Parliament congratulates Arrochar Primary School Headteacher, Alison Palmer, on 28 years of service; understands that Alison has worked at the school as a teacher since 1993, and became Headteacher in 2005; celebrates that, during her time at the school, Alison was nominated as a finalist in the Head Teacher of the Year Awards and led the school through the best inspection report that any Argyll and Bute school has ever received; understands how much Alison will be missed by all of the staff, pupils and parents of the school as she leaves to take up her new role at the Educational Institute of Scotland, and recognises that this is testament to the fantastic teacher that she was; thanks Alison for all her years of service to the education of many local children, and wishes her every success in her new job.
