  • Submitted by: Jamie Halcro Johnston, Highlands and Islands, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 06 July 2021
  • Motion reference: S6M-00594

That the Parliament welcomes the completion of the £290,000 upgrade to visitor infrastructure at the Ardnamurchan Lighthouse in Lochaber, which has made it more accessible to visitors, including to wheelchair users; congratulates all who have contributed to the project, including members of the community and funders; recognises that the lighthouse, which is located on the most westerly point of Great Britain, was designed by Alan Stevenson, who was the uncle of Robert Louis Stevenson, and is an iconic landmark in the area, and looks forward to an increasing number of visitors enjoying the breath-taking setting and fascinating history of this remarkable structure, which has endured for over 150 years.
