Rashielea Primary P6a Class’s Transformation of Rashie Woods

  • Submitted by: Natalie Don, Renfrewshire North and West, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Wednesday, 30 June 2021
  • Motion reference: S6M-00567

That the Parliament commends the P6a class at Rashielea Primary School in Erskine for their work since August 2020 in transforming overgrown derelict woodland next to their school into a play area, which now has a tyre swing, a rope swing and a bear hunt, and gives the pupils a space to go on insect hunts and find out about local wildlife; understands that their efforts have been recognised in the presentation of the John Muir Award by the national conservation charity, the John Muir Trust, and wishes the school well for the future growth and evolution of the area, which the class decided to name Rashie Woods.
