Silver Pearson National Teaching Award

That the Parliament congratulates Gerard Curley, of Neilston Primary School, and Stuart Maxwell, of Eastwood High School in East Renfrewshire, on their recent Silver Pearson National Teaching Award; notes that the Teaching Awards Trust was established in 1998 as a means of recognising and celebrating excellence in education; further notes that Gerard and Stuart are the only teachers in Scotland to be put forward for this award in their respective categories; wishes Gerard and Stuart well for when they attend the Pearson National Teaching Awards UK ceremony, where they will be competing for the Gold Award in their categories, and sends its best wishes to Stuart as he retires after a long and distinguished career in education.
