Noah Waddell is Boxing Star

  • Submitted by: Stuart McMillan, Greenock and Inverclyde, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Thursday, 24 June 2021
  • Motion reference: S6M-00506

That the Parliament congratulates Noah Waddell, from Greenock, on taking a British belt in his weight and age category for Muay Thai boxing at a Fighting for Autism (FFA) event in Aberdeen earlier this month; notes that 12-year old Noah has therefore joined his 13-year old brother, Jonah, as an FFA British champion; understands that Noah has dedicated his win to his grandmothers, who have both sadly passed away in the last year; recognises that the next step for the brothers is to win at the Scottish Intermediate Boxing Open later this year, and that, if successful, they will be the first children in Scotland to hold Muay Thai, kickboxing and boxing titles at the same time, and wishes both Noah and Jonah all the best for the future as they make their way up the ranks in the sport.
