That the Parliament commends Cumbernauld Action and Care for the Elderly (CACE) for promoting the welfare of vulnerable older people and their carers in Cumbernauld and surrounding areas; recognises that CACE supports over 200 individuals in the community with mental and practical needs each month; is aware that the COVID-19 pandemic has increased demand for such services while funding has become scarce, and calls on local authorities across Scotland to move from annual funding grants to three- or five-year grants, allowing organisations such as CACE to plan for upcoming challenges.
