Heriot-Watt University Celebrates the 200th Anniversary of its Founding Roots

That the Parliament congratulates Heriot-Watt University on celebrating the 200th anniversary of its founding roots; understands that the bicentenary provides the university with an opportunity to reflect on its past achievements as pioneers in education, as well as to consider the long-term future of the university and how it can continue to use its considerable research strengths to address global challenges; acknowledges that the university is marking this significant occasion with a renewed focus on global sustainability and aims to play a leading role in confronting climate change; understands that two centuries of innovation have led to what is today a unique international institution with campuses in the UK, Dubai and Malaysia, and wishes the university continued success in the future.
