  • Submitted by: Jim Fairlie, Perthshire South and Kinross-shire, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Monday, 14 June 2021
  • Motion reference: S6M-00378

That the Parliament congratulates Comrie Primary School's staff and pupils on a project that has seen them working with Wild Hearth Bakery of Cultybraggan, which is an artisan bakery, and the Hutton Institute; notes that they have planted heritage wheat and barley grains that they will grow, reap and mill and then bake into bread; welcomes this sharing of knowledge about the historic importance and future potential of heritage cereal strains, and recognises the importance of teaching children and adults about the connections between agricultural processes and the food on their plates.
