Recognising the Contribution of Neena Mahal as Chair of NHS Lanarkshire

That the Parliament acknowledges the contribution that Neena Mahal has made since 2013 in her role as Chair of NHS Lanarkshire, which provides health services to a population of over 650,000 people; commends Neena for leading the board through a significant programme of transitional change, for contributing to national areas of work, including the Leadership, Talent Management and Succession Planning Group, the National Performance Management Group, the NHS Chairs Quality Portfolio Group and the Quality Improvement Development Programme for Executive and Non-Executive Board Members, and for her commitment to the people of Lanarkshire and the NHS Lanarkshire workforce during the COVID-19 pandemic; recognises that Neena has led on work to improve diversity on NHS boards, has brought a wealth of experience in corporate governance and strategic management to her NHS Lanarkshire role, and has served on the boards of various public bodies, charitable and voluntary sector organisations over the last 25 years, and, as her term as Chair of NHS Lanarkshire ends, sends its best wishes to Neena for the future.
