  • Motion reference: S6M-00240

That the Parliament congratulates Possilpark People's Trust (PPT) on being additional funding of up to £1.4 million by Glasgow City Council, which will support the creation of a new £2.9 million community hub for Possilpark, welcomes the grassroots-led nature of this project, which has already attracted £1.5 million from the Scottish Government’s Capital Regeneration Fund, as well as funding from the Robertson Trust; understands that the additional financial support from the council will ensure there is no funding gap and provides certainty that the project will now proceed; commends the dedication and commitment of all involved with PPT, including its Chair, Ann Lawrance, Director, Robert Stewart, and Business Development Officer, Tracy Donaldson, and believes that the success of PPT demonstrates the strength and ambition of the community in Possilpark who, through the PPT, will, it believes deliver a modern, state of the art community facility for the people in the area.
